Quality, valorisation of the territory and sustainability are the cardinal points of our philosophy.
Our farm is located in the Abruzzo hills in the province of Teramo, a farm framed by timeless natural beauty. The nature that surrounds us is our most precious asset and for this we enhance and protect the territory through sustainable agriculture that pays us back with excellent raw materials: olives, grapes, truffles, tomatoes, horticultural crops, apples, black cherries. From here, our products come to life: extra virgin olive oil, wine, tomato sauce, black cherry liqueur, apple quince. Quality has the flavor of Uma Casanatura.

We had taken the first step: the farm was ours.
Back then, we were living far away, almost on the other side of the world. Pretty soon it became clear that managing the farm remotely was not going to work and we needed someone we could trust to steer our young company. Enter Enrico’s father. For the next 5 years, Pierpaolo oversaw the works to restore the olive grove, plant the first acres of vineyards, and begin restoring one of the existing structures.Read more
We are young. How should we go about making ourselves and our wines known? So many times we have mused that “we must tell the story”, especially in a world like that of wine, where it seems that everyone has been around for generations and that heirloom is the “must have” condition for having a presence. We are a young reality; as such, our story is borne from our experience in other worlds, one which led us to the crazy idea of transforming and reinventing ourselves at 50.Read more

UMA, in the Andean world, is considered an ancestral being, capable of protecting and preserving with his strength, which derives directly from the mountains, the spirit of Mother Nature. It is a benevolent force that goes from the sun to the earth and then to each of us.

Calamarata is a first course of exquisite sea-scented flavors that is prepared with a special pasta that recalls the shape of the squid rings, the calamarata pasta. Our recipe is a version of the traditional one revisited by our Federica. For this recipe we recommend using our Tortiglione Biological monocultivar extra virgin olive oil and the UMA “sei rosso” organic tomato sauce in order to obtain a creamy and enveloping sauce.
